Redding Brothers averaging 148 spins per week on Last.fm Radio!

The Redding Brothers, through a deal struck with CDBaby.com, were able to get all their CDs in rotation on Last.fm, a social radio and on-demand music website. The band is now averaging about 148 spins per week with radio plays, not including on-demand plays.

Last.fm taps the wisdom of the crowds, leveraging each user's musical profile to make personalized recommendations, connect users who share similar tastes, provide custom radio streams, and allow for personalized on-demand listening, all free of charge.

By downloading the Last.fm application, you can join over 10 Million users who "scrobble" tracks from their iTunes and Windows Media Players, notifying Last.fm of what type of music you listen to, and "teaching" their computer what type of music you like so it can recommend new music to you and other users with similar tastes. They also have a Facebook app and widgets for blogs and Myspace pages. If you haven't checked out Last.fm yet, you really should!

The Redding Brothers will be adding their full catalog of albums as well as Songs of the Week in the near future. If you sign up for an account, be sure to add the band as a friend (username "reddingbrothers").
